Covid 19 Update
COVID-19 MEASURES WE’RE TAKING AND GUIDANCE TO HELP KEEP YOUSAFE.
At Chestnuts House we aim to make your stay as comfortable and safe as possible by complying with the Government’s COVID-19 Guidance. We hope these measures offer you some reassurance and we aim to update them as and when the Government releases new guidelines.
- We ask that any guests experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 please notify us with the view to cancel their booking and comply with the Government’s guidelines of not travelling.
- If you begin to develop symptoms of the virus during your stay, please inform us to ensure you can vacate safely to allow us to notify the remaining guests and implement the current Government guidelines at the time.
- Please check emails close to your arrival date to ensure you have received all pre- arrival information.
- Our check in time is 1-7pm. Please try and provide us with an approximate time of arrival, especially if you believe your arrival will fall earlier or later than our normal check in time.
- To ensure minimum contact between staff and guests, we have implemented a paperless check in procedure or a self-check in for an out of hours arrival.
- Maps will be provided, along with a selection of brochures, but these will not be left out for guests to look through and help themselves.
- Room keys will be sanitised for each new guest.
- Breakfast service will have to follow the current Government guidelines at the time.
- Social distancing must be maintained, especially within the shared spaces of the hallway, staircase and dining room.
- Please be extra vigilant when accessing the staircase and first floor rooms to avoid contact with other guests as much as possible.
- We encourage you to use the anti-bacterial hand sanitisers that are available throughout the hotel.
- Surfaces that are in constant use, especially door handles and bannisters will be sanitised regularly.
- Between the changeover of guests all rooms are left unoccupied following the recommended Government time and deep cleaned before new arrivals.
- Bedding is professionally laundered.
- Towels are laundered in house to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Our hospitality trays have been modified for minimum contact between staff and guests, therefore, fresh milk is provided on a daily basis in sterilised jugs, while teas and coffees are individually packaged.
- All rooms include a selection of toiletries, limited to handwash, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and moisturiser. These will be replaced, sanitised and returned on rotation even if guests do not use them.
- Bins are provided in all rooms; please ensure you dispose of all your rubbish.
- To minimise the risk to staff, we hope you understand that room service will be limited to emptying bins and refreshing hospitality trays.
- We have minimised the number of soft furnishings, throws and cushions in every room, along with the removal of books and magazines, to reduce cross contamination between guests and staff.
- Please wear whatever PPE you feel comfortable with.
- We request that where possible, you will have pre-paid your bill online, or make a contactless payment at the time of checkout.
We hope the information answers your questions about the measures we have in place and won’t detract from you enjoying your stay here at Chestnuts House.
